ECO-FRIENDLY SHOES FROM SEASON’S PAST

One of the great things about SAOLA’s sustainable shoes is that we design them to be timeless. Versatile silhouettes that never go out of style, so you can wear them day after day, year after year. That approach is not only better for the planet, but it’s better for your wallet, too. All the eco shoes on this page are marked down because we had a few leftover when we launched new collections, and are just as stylish and comfortable today as they were the season we launched them. Because classic is king and recycled is the new black. 

BUT WHY ECO SHOES?

We know – sounds a little creepy at face value. But trust us when we tell you you’d never know SAOLA’s are made out of recycled and bio-based materials. We’re using materials like recycled plastic, algae foam, organic cotton, and natural cork to make our recycled shoes and always innovating to find new and improved sustainable materials. Why? Because the textile manufacturing industry is one of the world’s greatest polluters. In the modern era, we’ve seen populations grow, and with it, rapid consumerism. In short, we’ve been making too much stuff and people have been considering their clothes disposable. That was the rise of fast fashion, but we’re pleased to see that attitudes are changing now, and people – like you – are becoming more aware of how their products are made and only buying what they need. 

There’s a lot of work to be done to turn the ship around, and it can feel daunting at time. But we choose to focus our energy on all the ways we can contribute to fixing the system, and how we can all work together to #MAKEANIMPACT. Thank you for joining us in the movement for a better tomorrow.
